Golgotha is the place where Christ was crucified, and is also just a cool sounding word because it incidentally sounds like a Japanese monster (ex., Mothra). Usually in such a classic tableaux Mary will be cradling Christ, but in this instance a male is carrying a female. My favorite part may be the green hand on the artist’s palette.

A quite evocative and poignant drawing. The idea of a female Jesus seems more poignant to me, and I can't explain why. Good title too.
The name "Golgotha" is cool-sounding. It means "Skull" In Aramaic. Legend has it the hill where the Crucifixion took place resembled or was shaped like a skull. Golgotha is also referred to as "Calvary," from the Latin "calvarium," which also means "skull."
Having grown up watching the now-classic "Gojira" (the Japanese spelling) films, I agree: Golgotha does sound like it could be the name of a movie monster.
You do good work. Keep at it!
