This is a non-representational piece, though I'm not sure I'd really call it "abstract" because it's too evocative of real things, without ever being them precisely.

I left the title ambiguous in order to let people form their own associations and impressions without leading them.

There is NO interpretation. My idea about doing something non-representational, though, had to do with creating substance through the interrelations of the various visual components that somehow mirror subtlety and complexity in the real world in such a way that one needs to have experience and understanding to create or appreciate it, but it doesn't directly reference any subject, politics, or other standpoint.

technique It was completely rendered in Photoshop using standard drawing and painting techniques.

Writing critiques for abstract untitled pieces isn't that easy, there are hardly any rules or standards to judge by, I don't even feel that a comparison to other abstract pieces would be appropriate, but you let it untitled for the reason you explained and so I will follow only my own instincts and feeling in this critique, that will be highly subjective.

To answer some questions that a critique usually answers, I find the painting original, technically very advanced, possessing impact of it's own kind. Composition implies inner space, looking at it makes me feel "inside", but the top left object disturbed the flow of the piece by being defined with a border. I feel much more comfortable about the right part of the painting. Your coloring is very appealing.

I think that paintings of this kind are a great companion for the moments of thinking, it's why I would hang such a piece right across a sofa. Good job <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)"/>
