[Part of a series of 12 3X4 ft. acrylic paintings done >20 years ago]
Inspired in part by the classic horror film, Bride of Frankenstein. Dr. Pretorius created the counterpart to Frankenstein's monster. As I recalled, there were multiple attempts, and thus failed attempts. Here I intended it to be read as the red one is like a ghost (we're already in the realm of "horror," so why not?) consoling the foreground figure, who is clipping her own IV (you get the ideas), and the one in the background strapped to an upright gurney is next in line. They are all brides.
